Michael vey book 4 publisher3/31/2024 While trying to find out more about his strange electrical powers, he makes himself open to attack from an evil corporation, who kidnap his mother and force him to fight for what he believes. Michael Vey is your average teenager, he crushes on the popular girl, he has awkward friends, he struggles with personal things (like having Tourette's), but he can also shoot electricity through his body and literally shock people. But honestly you could skip this one and still know what's going on in the next installment With all that said, book 6 is going to be great. The only part I really enjoyed was getting to read about characters I'd fallen in love with in other books and chapter 25, which got pretty deep and philosophical for a teen book. And to put the icing on top of this bismal cake, it ends in a rushed cliff hanger in an attempt to excite readers for the next book. The resistance devises the biggest and most daring plan yet against the Elgen, and it gets you all excited to see it carried out. Albeit, his electric kids are much more interesting in this installment. The other 30% is spent with Hatch, which is far too much time if you ask me. A good 70% of the book is them describing what hotel they're staying at and what food they eat. But this book is the definition of a filler. I read this book because of my love for the series and the characters and Michael's growth electrical wise.
